Egypt Air Adding more routes on the Continent

egyptair, the national air carrier, has decided to launch two new lines for rwanda and cameroon next year, the company's president told afp on thursday.
pilot sherif ezzat said that egyptair "will launch three weekly flights to the rwandan capital kigali and the cameroonian city of douala, starting in mid-february."
ezzat's remarks came on the sidelines of a tour of egyptian aviation minister younis al-masri at cairo airport during which he stressed that the ministry "is putting in its future plan strengthening cooperation with african countries, to promote the air transport industry on the continent."

egypt operates numerous direct flights to african destinations such as sudan, south sudan, ethiopia and south africa.

egyptian president abdel fattah al-sisi stresses the depth of relations between cairo and african countries, and last year toured tanzania, rwanda, gabon and chad.

he discussed economic cooperation with the leaders of these countries in the tourism, telecommunications, agriculture and energy sectors, as well as security and counter-terrorism issues.
