Non Rev to Vietnam
Hi,
Just found this site and registered.......looking for information on non rev travel to Vietnam (SGN) from US (ATL). Delta Retired.....I've been looking at the ATL-ICN-SGN flights but they seem to be overbooked everyday. Anybody got any ideas.

Hi Dale,
So you get ZEDs still? Any reason you chose ICN? There are more flights from NRT, and a ton to SIN. See the statistics section of SGN's wikipedia page: Tan Son Nhat International Airport - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi spongebue...thanks for the quick response......was thinking about staying out of NRT because a friend of mine has a daughter living there and it seems every time they go to visit they get bumped or have to wait a day or two to get back. How are they this time of the year.......does the lunar new year affect flights there? Yes, it will be ZED, also wondering if we get ZEDs on NH or JAL, which both fly to SGN? Do you have any info on that?
Thanks in advance for your help, have a great day,
Dale

what about Hong Kong? DTW nonstop is great but LONG flight if in J.
We do the NRT and there are SO many gateways here..
ICN is a great airport but KE is not much in coach

HKG can be often full, NRT seems easier. Attention if you get a tkt SGN/NRT make sure it is written on the endorsement box valid on NH if issued on JL or vice versa otherwise the gate agents will not accept it (I had the experience there)...
