    Default Registered Companion

I am an AA employee's Registered Companion. I am in a legacy USAir territory so I used their site to book flights initially, which was very user friendly. Now with the merger being complete, I am having a hard time finding out how I book flights through AA. She is fairly new so not really sure herself, and has been quite busy so hasn't had much time to do research. One thing I read sounded like the employee had to make all reservations, which didn't sound right to me, but then reading other forums it sounds like other companions made their own. Any info provided would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It all depends on the airline. UA has a system in place where others can make their own reservations (or I could, for example, my dad make a reservation for me if needed). I wouldn't be surprised if US had that as well, they did have a pretty nice system as I recall from my SkyWest days. But to be honest, I would be really surprised if AA did have that option. Odds are, the employee will have to make your listings. DL works that way as well.

    Welcome aboard Luvtofly
All USAir employees should have received a new AA ID number, which is what’s needed to access Jetnet. As the pass rider you travel on that number, so the employee/retiree makes the listing.
