Question The strange case of the disappearing non-rev

Our itinerary was simple, 2 D1s traveling LAX/MSY/ORD/LAX and the first segment went off without a hitch - one D1 got Business and the second Main Cabin next to an empty seat – two happy travelers. But then came time to check-in for segment two and this is where things got strange, really strange. The Record Locator instead of showing two travelers showed only one. The second traveler’s listing had disappeared, no trace remained, it was as if it never existed. Well I’ve read enough mysteries to know that it’s never a good thing when all evidence of a character’s existence is removed and you never want to dig too deep or you may disappear too. So, after a failed attempt at editing and a session timeout, I relisted traveler#2 – brand new Record Locator. And yes, maybe I could have canceled my listing and started over, but why hitch my wagon to traveler#2’s unlucky star - as that sign in that shop on Royal says:

“One should always try to control the vagaries of fate.”
    besides, I got Business again.

Just wondered if anyone else had heard of the disappearing act.

I have seen this on DL, in the same situation, where one gets up front and the other is in coach.
