Default Nonrevs Beware...AA Flight Capacity, Staffing

American Airlines canceled another 634 flights on Sunday, more than 12% of its total operations for the day, the company said Sunday.

The airline has now canceled more than 1,500 flights since Friday, as it deals with weather issues and staffing shortages that started last week.
"With additional weather throughout the system, our staffing begins to run tight as crew members end up out of their regular flight sequences.

Two days of severe winds in Dallas-Fort Worth, its largest hub, sharply reduced arrival capacity, the company said.

OK let me think. I believe the person flying last weekend during all that airline chaos was the same person that knows a lot about timetables, airport taxes and why Spokane's airport code is GEG.

Mig, anxiously waiting for the prize patrol to show up

Airport taxes and why GEG is called that, absolutely. Timetables? Not so much anymore. I do less and less booking these days while doing more and more assisting with those tricky records and clearing folks for that coveted wristband going to HI.

"Timetables", I guess that means the prize patrol won't be stopping by - next time.
