Hey Guys and Gals,

I am planning a trip to Thailand in June. I have a few buddies that are going with. Do you have any suggestions on what airports out of the US generally have more open seats for a non-rever? I know people have said SFO is good but I want to get an idea so i can fly them to the same airport I'm leaving from in hopes of all getting on the same flight. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Skipper

Who you plan on flying Skipper? TG? If so you don't have much choice really... LAX or JFK!

Or are you thinking of connecting somewhere or using DL to NRT/ICN/HKG etc?

Sorry Nick what is TG again?

I will probably fly DL/NW.

Don't care where I go thru to get to BKK just looking for where I would have a better chance of getting on as Non-rev.

TG is Thai Airways... not sure if you have an agreement with them, but they fly to BKK direct from LAX and JFK

I use this e-mail: info@globair.cz - it's Czech office for TG... they replied me in 24hrs...just tell them you are staff and write dates and route numbers, for listing on TG flights use Flyzed.com

This does mean you would be in Y though. So if you had to go MSP-JFK-BKK anyways, you may as well go MSP-NRT on Delta so you get upgraded, then on TG NRT-BKK.

Our intranet says:
"All id listings for Thai Airways flights should be made through www.flyzed.com . Please refrain from calling to Thai Airways tickets or reservations offices and visit Thai Airways website for more information."

BKK is a living hell for a non rev PAX.

I would dare to say that you ought stop at ICN (Seoul is lovely)...

Thai is ok for a non rev PAX. They have a counter only for staff at BKK airport.

Have a nice trip! Thailand is incredible!

So true. Didn't check me in until 30 min before departure and my bags missed the flight. Funny thing was the counter was busy checking in passengers of a later flight while all of the non-rev pax were twiddling their thumbs nervously

Having said that I had to same experience in PER and i was assured my bag would make it and true enough, my bags made it........... on a flight to SIN while I landed in HKG trying to track down where my bag was
