What is the best time of the year to
go from the US to Australia/New Zealand? We would be purchasing positive space tickets but I want to go when the chance of good weather is maximized and when it isn't too hot. Any suggestions?
Also, since we will only have about 2 weeks, what are the not to be missed sights?

Roughly what time of year are you thinking of coming & where abouts in Australia do you want to visit?? Is the dry season at the moment in the far north - Cairns, Darwin, Broome.
In Sydney the weather has been very mild for this time of year - is the first day of winter tomorrow.
We were thinking about February or March.

That is a good time of year to come. In Sydney there is the harbour & if you like history you could do a tour of the Quarantine Station &/or Fort Denison, the Rocks, there is also the pylon museum on the Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour is nice to wander around.

I went in mid March a few yrs back. Flew Qantas from LAX...awesome flight. Loved the 380, of course it was brand spanking new too lol. I think Radisson in the CBD gave me awesome airline rates, and put me on the whatevertheycall their premium floor. Loved it!
