Hong Kong Travel
Hey, sorry if this has been discussed, I've tried to as much research as I could and I was not able to find anything on this. Does anyone know if you have to have a confirmed seat to either get in/out of Hong Kong? I know China has that rule for the visa-free travel but I was not sure of Hong Kong does the same thing. And does anyone know of other Asian countries that require confirmed seats for travel? I'm American too.
Thanks for any help!

Welcome!
A confirmed seat is not required for travel into/out of Hong Kong. Also, no visa is required. Not sure how long you can go visa free but my visits/transits thru HKG have not exceeded 1 week and no visa was required. FYI, HKG is one of several locations where you clear at the check in counter, not the gate.
Safe travels!

I confirm what isppilot says, no confirm seat needed, just a valid passport for a Us citizen. Have a good trip...
