    Default Holland Americas Bump Policy for Interline cruisers

    Just thought you might be interested....Holland America is the only cruise company that I know of that reserves the right to "bump if a higher revenue passenger is found". It just happened to us.....72 hours advance notice that our "booked" cruise was toast. Holland America is getting a terrible reputation for doing this so....if you book them, just be aware that they can and WILL bump you. We were enroute (driving to Seattle) when our travel agent at Vacations To Go called us and told us to "go home". We have about 20 Holland America cruises under our belt but will NEVER book them again. IF you think it is a confirmed cabin....let me tell you about the tooth fairy.

    Wow, that is quite an eye-opener. I never thought cruise lines would bump interline pax. It's not like we can just hop on the 'next' cruise. I've only booked one interline cruise so far, Paul Gaugin, in Tahiti. Got a great rate with a balcony and had an awesome time on the cruise. We also met several CO employees who were on an interline rate as well.

    Am planning an Alaska cruise in the next 2-3 years but I'll be sure to steer clear of Holland America.

    Default Lost a customer for sure

    My wife and I cruise 8-10 times a year. I have almost 200 days just on Holland America.....there will be no more added to that total. As of right now, Holland America is the only cruise line that has this policy. I have contacted a bunch of the interline cruise sites to make sure THEY are aware of the policy and that they make their interliners aware of it as well.

    We had friends from DL that were already in London for a Holland America cruise to Iceland and they wanted to bump them. Once they found out they were already there, they bumped the next person on the interline list who was still back in the US.
