    Default expired buddy passes

I have some buddy passes left and they expire September 11th. If I were to book those passes to a destination and the return ticket wasn't till after the expiration date would the tickets still expire? If you buy them before hand but don't use them until after they officially expire will they still work?

Are they this year's allotment or last year's?
I book my husband's buddy passes just before they expire, using the buddy's CC, address, DOB, etc with a nearby destination. Then they are good for another year--al travel must be completed just short of his next year anniversary.
If they want to go somewhere besides the original dest, they pay the $25 fee (beyond 100 miles) and the mileage cost difference.
So, my niece is using BP that would have exp'd in July. We booked her SFO/SLC, even tho her planned idea is to travel to Santiago, Chile next spring. She is eligible to complete travel to anywhere on DL metal within one year. I typically make the change just prior to BP travel.

If we need to use current year passes for anyone, they re still intact for this year; or next year IF I assign them. If not assigned they go KAPUT! They are fully refundable until the expiry.

Yes, they are this years. They expire Sept. 11th of this year and I want to use a buddy pass to go to Prague on the 4th but won't be arriving back home until Sept. 11th the day of expiration. So as long as I assign the buddy before the date of expiration It should be fine and valid?

    It is a beautiful city!!!
I have contacts for apts and hotel ideas. Few restaurants and guide book suggestions. A full week? Are you going outside the city? My husband is headed there this wkend. When the rotation goes back to 48 hr layover--I'll be there!! We went for our honeymoon and first anniversary in 05/06. I've been 2 more times this year alone and sent sister and BIL last summer. They did some side trips so I can get that for you, too.
You hit the jackpot for info!! I'm sure we have other members who've been recently, too.

Prague info moved- reason: flashier marquee

The Prague info in this thread has been moved to its own http://nonrev.net/europe/15115-prague-tips-advice.html thread. Just makes the info easier to find, because I don’t think a lot of members are going to look for Prague info in a thread entitled ‘expired buddy passes’
Please continue to post your Prague questions and info in that thread.
BTW, I’m assuming all relocation costs.
