    Default eZED

We non have access to eZED on AF, JetBlue, Thai Airways, and (most importantly to me) Iberia. There is a $3.15 fee per segment that is refundable only if the whole ticket is not used.

There is a link on DLnet if you missed it. If you use the eZED post up and let us know how it went.

As an asside, Iberia is a great airline to travel on with kids.

I'm glad you posted this! I missed the story blurb. What a cool tool!! I like how it's recommended to buy one-ways for refundability of service charge!

eZED = e-ticket ZEDs ? Is it DL software or a major company?

We only have e-tkt with AY and AF so far.

It's Lufthansa System's MyIDTravel software. Unlike what you have with AY/AF (which is interline eTicketing) the product currently supports only electronic ticketing by the transporting airline. This means that an employee of DL intending to travel on B6 is issued a ticket by B6, not DL, upon validation of eligibility by DL.

In order for this to occur, both carriers must be customers of Lufthansa Systems.

    Thanks AAzed, very interesting indeed...

Would be interesting if it became a standard, it would certainly be a lot easier

    Just as an FYI...

Delta ticket counter agents can no longer process paper ZED tickets for the airlines participating in the E-Zed program...we get an error message whenever we try to process one in DLTerm...found that out yesterday when trying to do a ZED ticket on jetBlue for someone out of PBI...if the airline in participating in E-ZED you MUST purchase via travelnet...

Thanks for that heads up. DLnet said we still had 3 weeks before it was mandatory.

Anyone looked on Travelnet to see what it says now? Also, has anyone tried to book an eZED on a smartphone?

I am such a technopeasant ,. I have a flip phone that hasn't completed remedial phone 101, much less desired to become smart.
I think we'll trade mine in for the Android and Boss will get that one, and I'll get his BBerry.
But, I am clueless about most phones since I actually use mine to speak to people!
