Default a couple of DL nonrev questions:

Does my travel companion (or my dependent kids) travel on my seniority when she/they are traveling alone? Also, suppose my travel companion is traveling without me, and has a couple of friends with her that are flying buddy passes from me--what seniority do they fly on?

Finally, does my travel companion (or my kids) have to be flying with me to take advantage of their S2 privelege?

thanks in advance for the help!

look at your deltanet site and get the manage pass riders on the pull down
    All the answers are there.
I'm not sure what sort of travel companion you have--live in "non-spouse: or travel companion on yield fare. Dep kids (under 19 and under 23) use S2's--6 per year. Travel Companions on yield fare don't have S2. Theya re a better tnhan buddy pass status because they use your DOH.
Whether they travel with you or not, they only get what they show on travelnet. Going with them gives them no advantage.
Your TC gets one priority and the buddy passes have nothing BUT S4. If she wants to sit with them in coach she has to declare at the gate that she is willing to go DOWN to an S4 to be together. They cannot move up with her,if she gets BE nor can they change seats ANYTIME during the flight.
Same thing for you and your daughter--if you need to split and sit one coach and one biz, you cannot interchange seats enroute.

I think Mrs about covered it.

Your TC and your kids travel on your seniority when traveling alone.

Your TC and your kids have their own S2's that they can use regardless if you fly with them.

quick buddy pass question: does a round trip count as two buddy passes? I'm guessing it does.

no--but never buy a buddy pass one-way--always buy RT and if you need to refund it, do so
read your travelnet page on buddy passes--it's right there.

I will give you a tip if you can rely on your buddies--use the previous year passes before they expire and assign them to the cheapest/largest RT destination (ex--CVG/ATL or CVG/JFK or DAB/ATL. etc for about $100 each tklt)
those tickets are good for an entire year and can be changed as needed last minute w/$25 fee to go anywhere else + miles/taxes.
We just assigned 8 passes to family members for this year to travel until Boss' anniversary next year. He still has 8 passes that are current for this year on demand and next year once assigned. Granted you cant change buddies but they are refundable (my nephew HATED that he couldn't use his last year but he got the $ back and because he's such a good travelr on passes, we gavce him anotehr one!)
PS--get you buddies or one in particular to PAY the $50 fee each year...
