Default 10/18 ATL to EZE-why 16 seats avail in BUSINESS but AU # is 0?

CONTEXT: My flight tomorrow ATL to EZE: 14 seats up front, -22 in the back!

Hey yall, I'm new here and have a question. Been at Delta for 3 years, but never seen the AU number be 0 if there are 16 seats in business.

Trying to get to EZE tomorrow night(10/18/11). Just like always, there were PLEANTY of seats a few days ago, and now it's -22 in coach. Would that be why they changed the Authorized # for business to 0- b/c they anticipate all those coach pax showing up.

Also, I never understand how we can SELL 22 seats that DO NOT EXIST!!!!! Love my company, but our "addiction" to overselling is really becoming excessive!

Anyone have any ideas? I've debated where it might be high cargo loads also, but not sure. This is always such a guessing game! I could definitely jumpseat, but not sure how that would work internationally and if I'd get to go in crew rest, etc. I'm sure it depends on the Aline. Obviously, I'd prefer business class.

Anyway, I'd love some input. Loving yalls posts so far!

Looks pretty good to me. The no-show factor must be fairly predictable and that's why AU is so iffy for coach.
Considering there are only 3 active DL emps, your placement is great.
I see there is a replacement flight for tonite--must have x'd yesterday's. I guess you can just see what shakes down...
Good luck! (sacrifice to nonrev gods might not hurt)

THANK YOU! I ended up going YESTERDAY since they added that segment at the last minute. There were over half nonrevs up front- some had tried to get out for days! This is why I don't give out buddy passes unless it's a direct flight (not thru atlanta), because even during OFF SEASON (october), buddy passes can't get anywhere. What they pay is not worth the headache.

I checked and would have made it today actually, but I hate to do the wouldda coudda shouldda game that is part of the non rev life!

    Thanks again!

Enjoy Buenos Aires, it's a beautiful city and the Italian food is to die for. Like in any major city watch out for the pick pockets. Try the pizza at "El Rey de las Papas Fritas", the best pizza I have ever had, second only to pizza in Rome.

    Regards,

    Chepos

Mrs. 767, I was sure happy I went a day earlier. Let me ask you, what does DOH mean?

Chepos, I will try that pizza place- I love the Italian food here- I think people in the states don't realize how European it is in BA- that's part of why I love it.
We'll be here for a month, so now my only dilemna is figuring out what do do today!

    Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for the up date FADelta- It’s always nice to know what happened.
DOH (Date Of Hire), although with M767 is could also mean (Dukes of Hazzard).
    Have fun.

Buenos Aires is very European, it is called the Paris of South America. Some Aregntinians are known to say they are Europeans bonn in South America. Pointers on what NOT TO miss in BS AS.

    - Visit la Recoleta cemetary, there you will find the famous Evita Peron grave.
    - Go on one of the Free Buenos Aires walking tours, I hope they still do them. Our touir guide Sol was excellent and is a native porte~a so she is a well of knowledge.
    - Tour La Bombonera, the stadium were the Boca Juniors play. Quite an impossiong building and full of history. You can do this the day you visit el Barrio de La Boca. I walked all they way from San Telmo to La Boca, some locals discourage this but I did not feel unsafe walking. There were 3 of us so we were not a large group by any means.
    - You must try local treat made with Dulce de Leche, they are to die for.
Have dinner at La Parolaccia, an excellent Italian restaurant. Enjoy your time in Buenos Aires, one of my favorite cities in the world!

As soon as I get off these IV's?

    I just found this today:
Bo Bo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina - Hotel Travel Deals | Luxury Link

I loved so much of the Recoleta Cemetery--it's like a park! San Telmo on Sunday. Def want to do walking tour (thanks!) Need giant slabs of Argentinian beef and Riserva malbec...
    <drooling>

We discovered the Japanese Botanical Gardens by accident and it's a nice departure from the "city"
