Default Can someone check the cost? DEN-SLC-LAX-HND via Delta Companion?

    Hi,

I'm a new non-live-in travel companion. Could someone check the total cost for DEN-SLC-LAX-HND or DEN-SLC-LAX-NRT?

Or does anyone knows better routing for the best possibility to get on the flight? (SFO and SEA might be an options?)

Also, what would be the best way to get to GDL, MX? DEN-ATL-GDL or DEN-LAX-GDL or DEN-SLC-LAX-GDL?

    Thank you in advance!

The best way to figure out the cost is to list yourself and get all the way to where you have to pay to see the price then cancel out.

edit, you can also try the yield fare calculator on travelnet but it does not seem to know any routes to hnd
you would need to find another travel companion on nonrev.net to have them look it up.

Thanks Offroader! It looks like #637 goes to HND from LAX, but I'm a bit confused...

I'm looking for the cheapest way to get to Japan.

Also, I see other options as go to LAX, then HNL to NRT. LAX-HNL has multiple flights per day as well as HNL to NRT. Or would I be crazy to even think about HNL as it must be the popular destinations for non-reving people?

love4air, if you do not have access to travelnet have your friend who put you as their travel companion look costs up. I would think that yield fares go off of milage so a direct flight would be best. Because the yield fare calculator does not show the flights to hnl, or nrt for that matter, the only way to know the price is to get yourself listed. Also the yield fare calculator and buddy pass calculator are not always correct. I would think the den-msp-nrt would be the lower cost option.

    I'd go MSP or DTW--747 and 777
The cost difference is probably minimal--like $50RT as opposed to west coast connections. Loads are usually better and more biz seats.
    Avoid HNL
Is Haneda better than NRT for you? We also have Nagoya.
I would estimate $600 ballpark--please let us know what you end up paying.

Thank you for both!! Didn't think about going to mid-west area. Good points!!!!

Location wise, Narita, Haneda or Nagoya doesn't matter. Only thing is that I would love to connect to the domestic flight once I get there to go venture further into Japan instead of just staying in Tokyo or Nagoya/Osaka area.

Eventually, take advantage of the DL flights from Tokyo to HKG and other asian cities.

Unless we have a registered companion, we can't actually price that rate. Estimates are available, tho. Last time I was a companion was just prior to 05/05/05...
