Default DL to add LAX - SEA Service..Finally! It's a RJ but..

Delta will add three daily flights between Los Angeles and Seattle, beginning April 8, 2013. Customers flying on Delta's new service will benefit from connection opportunities to a comprehensive trans-Pacific network.

The new service will be operated by Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines using 76-seat two-class CRJ900 regional jets. In addition to a first class cabin, these aircraft are equipped with onboard WiFi and Delta's snack, food for purchase and beverage offerings.

Yes your right. This route is becoming interesting because with MEM suing Delta, BNA will tick up in capacity and at least keep jobs in Tennessee. I will use a ATL-BNA-LAX Alternative. Shhh, don't tell everyone...

Man, going from a CR9 to a 757 is a HUGE upgrade! Wish UA would have put more into that route. We've got only 2 flights, which are quite full today. Both on RJs! That really baffles me, considering LAX is supposed to be one of their hubs!

Sponge, this has been in the rumor mill for about a year that DL was looking to better position SEA and LAX to UA. SFO was out of the question. Now they are really starting to ramp up for that Asian traffic. This will be AA/US biggest loss for market share.
