I wouldn't necessarily be too worried about PDX-HNL being too oversold based on schedule alone. PDX isn't a hub, even if they do get quite a few flights on DL, so there aren't a ton of connections needed here. Most leisure travelers (which isn't exactly uncommon in HNL) want to arrive earlier in the day so they get more time on the beach, rather than immediately going to the hotel. Kind of feels like a waste of a purchased hotel night if you arrive right around bed time!
