Non Revs & Self Boarding
I was reading about DL’s enhanced boarding experiment at ATL - T1, T2 &T3 and wondered about mobile gate agents and e-gates that allow for self-boarding pax. Can I assume there’ll still be screens listing standbys with this new system; as one still wants to know if they’ll have to make the jump to plan B. *wink*

We came through T2 on Saturday. We were SDS (Same Day Standby) on FCFL (Fly Confirmed For Less ) paid tickets so we were on the monitor just after the ticketed pax without seat assignments. There were a couple of NRSA's on the board below us. We boarded early with PREM since I'm a Diamond Medallion so I didn't see if the NRSA's had a seat assignment on the monitor. They did make it on the flight after everyone else boarded.
The e-gates weren't a problem for us but the GA didn't look too happy and kept repeating instructions.

So, is the only difference is that instead of handing your BP or SeatRequest, you scan it yourself?

Speaking of scan it yourself. What I've noticed slowing down boarding is multiple passes on one phone. The GA finally just said, "hand me the phone".

Had lunch at T2 today. T Concourse (Eastern Commuters), DCA hourly, LGA hourly, BOS, and SJU all are utilizing the advanced system. The visibility is much better. Not all RedCoats are activating it.
