Default NONREV Special...DL LAX - JFK Widebody

Delta Airlines is adding capacity on the LAX - JFK route. DL will utilize a A330-200 aircraft. The widebody is limited to the summer, 1x daily now through 8/30/18. This excludes Saturdays.

    FLT#472 JFK 8:10am – 11:13am LAX

FLT#658 LAX 12:30pm – 9:10pm JFK (Sunday likely at capacity)

I was fortunate to fly on one of D2's famous nonrev specials back in March during one of many winter storms affecting NY. LAX-JFK, AA cancelled or oversold but I was easily able to hop a ride on a DL A330-300 with a whole row in Comfort plus to myself.

Also, I barely missed the flight as it was raining that day in LA.

Rain -It doesn't rain a lot in LA, but when it does, it throws the entire region off its game. With just the tiniest bit of precipitation, there are 'Storm Watch' bulletins, all traffic slows down to a crawl, drivers brake 'uphill' and people discover their wipers are streaking. Basically its the end of he world as Angelenos know it.

Same goes for at least 1/2 of Arizona. " Measurable rain" can mean .04 inches. This is something the news actually reports
