My daughter (dependent) is attending Richmond Univ, Surrey UK and has an unexpected 5 day break...does anyone know of a quick way to get her a nonrev to Texas from Heathrow? I don't have the 2 week window here to do it from my end. Any ideas?

You might look into buying her a ticket. The fares, at least going to the UK, have been dirt cheap this fall. Maybe coming this way are cheap as well. If you do, what about flying her into say JFK (or other east coast hub) and then connecting her onto your airline.

I just looked at your profile and notice you work for Southwest. Assuming that you gave your daughter the appropriate dependant forms we have a walkup agreement with United. She would just go to the ticket counter to purchase an ID90. They've always been very good to me but I would advise her to get there really early. The staff usually have no idea how to issue such a creature and it takes forever for them to figure it out.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Randy - but, unfortunately, we HDQ Employees don't have that priviledge - only you Station Employees do.....darn. But thanks for the info and look me up next time you are at HDQ!

Check with the Pass Bureau because according to the information in the FreedomNet everyone employee is eligible regardless of position. This isn't a station agreement it's a companywide agreement.

Oh, one last thing, I just spoke with them about an unrelated issue and asked them your question. Unfortunately, you have to be the one to buy the ticket and then ship it to your daughter. She can't purchase it herself. Oh, well.

    Good luck!
