Was in ZRH recently and had dinner at an aviation themed restaurant just outside the airport grounds. Runway 34 (www.runway34.ch) is owned/managed by several former SR employees.

The aviation theme is carried throughout the entire experience. You walk into the hangar through a jetbridge, check-in and are boarded on your flight to your destination (each table is a different destination).

All the menu items are airline/avaiation related. The wait staff are dressed as flight attendants and even serve beverages from old SR beverage carts.

The centerpiece of the entire restaurant is a rebuilt Russian Ilyushin that's been converted into a cigar lounge (after all on what other aircraft are you still permitted to smoke?).

Even the food is good. Check-it out next time you're in ZRH.

This is so awesome! I may have to go to ZRH just for this. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, AZ, I like it. Here (LAX) we have the Proud Bird, another aviation-themed restaurant; great Sunday brunch by the way.
