    Default FCO-JFK travel in April...Never non revved from Europe

    Ok, after 32years in the industry I'm finally going to Europe via cruise ship. We plan on traveling on 28Apr btwn FCO and JFK on a OW ZED.
    Knowing this is a little early to ask for loads, does anyone have past experience on potential heavy loads from FCO to the US? I just want to make sure I'm not missing someghing like a hidden holiday, bad travel days, little know seasonal loads and the like.
    To help protect ourselves we are planning on purchasing several Zed tickets with different routings for a little more flexibility.
    Although the west coast is our final destination, we have positive space on my own carrier btwn EWR and SEA.
    Any help appreciated...mh

    Please be very flexible and consider that PISA is an option (DL, I assume). It may take you several days to get to the US.
    Also, look at whatever gateway city you can get into even if you have to overnite there, it's gonna be cheaper than EU delays getting back. Consider DTW, MSp and any other odd combos like CDG/CVG.

    In Oct., it took us 3 days to jet from FCO to ATL. The first two days were Sat., and Sun.
