Default Open Skies...Norwegian Sets up Shop in PVD, SWF...737 MAX fleet to DUB

It has now been confirmed that Norwegian will indeed open transatlantic crew bases at PVD and SWF, in the United States, during the course of 2017.

Crew recruitment advertisements seen by ch-aviation indicate that as previously reported, the bases will cater to Norwegian's incoming fleet of B737 MAX 8s. The first two MAX are slated to deliver in May of next year with a further four due in June.

To compliment these operations, Norwegian will establish corresponding transatlantic European crew bases in Edinburgh and Riga during the late second/early third quarter of 2017.

Operations will be carried out by Norwegian, the carrier's DUB-based unit which recently secured US service authority.

    Expect growth from SWF....

Hmm, not so sure about a 737 transatlantic. Bad enough they use a 757 across the pond.
