Default ZED Fare travel and baggage fees

    Hi,

We are planning some travel into and out of Athens Greece before Delta starts direct summer service from the US. This leaves ZED fare travel, mostly on Aegean, Lufthansa or Air France. What category do other airline employees fall under for baggage allowances and fees? I asked the Delta pass bureau and was referred to the specific airlines. I called Aegean and they said to ask my own company because unless I already have a ticket they don't know either.

Does anyone have some insight here?

    Thanks

    Welcome!
flyzed.info is a good source for baggage allowance info as well as other details for traveling on zed fares. Generally speaking, on a zed ticket, you are allowed 1 checked bag, even on fee happy Spirit.

    Good luck and safe travels!

The governing carrier rule does not apply when nonreving. The main source of information is as isppilot said myidtravel or the airline web site. If I had a problem and ws in your shoes I will show my employee id as well as the boarding of the international flight, it might work. I never had a problem on AF with a checked bag within weight and dimension a carry on and personal item but things change quickly.

    Thanks ZEDMAN,

I went through the myIDTravel site (with a pass bureau rep). Nothing helpful there. Most of these flights in Europe have multiple baggage allowance programs for multiple fare levels. I was hoping the individual airlines, or someone, could tell me which applies to ZED fare travelers. At least at Aegian, the representative couldn't say. Maybe my calls to Air France and Lufthansa will get more certain answers.

You are welcome. In case of multiple fare with multiple rules a ZED ticket is a Y ticket which mean, refundable no restrictions I think the applicable rule as far as bag would be the one for a full coach ticket.
