Unless I pick all the wrong flights, whenever I fly I just barely get on. Security. well I've said enough on other posts...

I recently took a trip to Houston and they were quite thorough at security at IAH. Can you set the wands for higher sensitivity? It went off on every tiny little piece of metal I had, and I got patted down in several places. Even the underwire in my bra went off and she had to feel it!?!? That has never happened to me before. I'm not complaining, it's for good reason, just surprised that it can be so different in different airports.

Well a lot has changed in my travels. My convenient mall ticket counter was closed which completely blew the cover off my pre-flight trips to Sees candy. I travel with a much smaller carry-on since my old bag wouldn't fit (no matter how I pushed) into that metal contraption at the gate. I wear nicer shoes since mine are usually the ones making the trip down the conveyor belt and I carry snacks since my in-flight meal has been replaced with colossal cheddar cheese trail mix and a soft drink. Why no one thought to go with those really really great chocolate chip cookies I've never know. (Ummmm cookies )
As far as the settings on the wands, I think Meg has a point. Those wands can detect a non-rev every time.

I have traveled about the same amount and found that I was "randomly" selected more often than in the past. We were finally told at work that if we listed ourselves more than a couple of days in advance we would be less likely to get selected so I tried it on my last trip. It actually worked! I am usually that person who is chosen every single time but we went round trip without getting searched so I was a happy camper. Of course, if I had been chosen I would have had a problem since I was already running late and we got on during final boarding!
