Hawaiian Airlines, which acquired more four jets, has decided what to do with them: it will add more service on its existing trans-Pacific routes.

Hawaiian will add several more flights to the West Coast this fall as a result of its fleet expansion. The airline will add flights to San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento and Los Angeles, recall 22 furloughed pilots, and hire 100 new flight attendants.

There may be more expansions to come, but Hawaiian executives have specified they will use only three of the jets for service expansion, having decided that the airline has grown to the point where it needs a back-up aircraft.

The changes:

Sept. 6: Summer daily flights to San Diego from Maui will become year-round.

Oct. 13: Flights from Maui to Portland and Seattle will become daily.

Nov. 19: Add four flights to the daily Honolulu-Sacramento route, bringing the total flights on that route to 11 a week.

Nov. 19: Add three flights to the daily Honolulu-Seattle route, bringing total flights to 10 a week.
