Now that it's official that AMR is ridding themselves of Eagle, will the flying benefits change for Eagle employees if infact it is sold? will ZED agreements carry over, how about flying on AA? what you guys think?

I suspect it will be much like the arrangement with Sabre in 2000...where nothing will change for existing Eagle employees for several years, new employees will not have AA benefits, some employees will be grandfathered in to keep their benefits "as is", others will have the opportunity to take openings at AA over some period of time and retain their seniority, etc., and when all is said and done, AE will be like any other carrier and arrangement we (AA) have....which are mostly ZED. At least with Sabre, it seemed that by the time the benefits expired for employees that had been with Sabre in 2000 (they expire June 2008), most of the employees at Sabre were hired after 2000 and never had the benefits in the first place.

I also wouldn't hold my breath about the sale - it may not happen or happen for a long time. We'll see...all speculation on my part.
