Are there any Emirates or Dnata staff on the board?

Thinking of applying for a job in DXB, but it's with Dnata. Slight promotion for me, and the recruitment site has the whole "aside from the usual flight benefits associated with working for an airline" line, so I assume Dnata benefits = same as Emirates benefits??

Also can someone explain what interline agreements you have with other airlines?

The policy on business class travel? Eg at CX i can buy business tickets anytime for a little more than the economy ones, but you never get upgraded on the economy ones. Whereas at an airline like QF, after 7 years service you get auto upgrades etc.

Any help appreciated... travel benefits are a big thing for me, promotion or not

Hi Nick
There are a few Emirates members on the board, unfortunately none very active.
There are no Dnata members on the board at the moment, maybe soon.

Hi Nick,

Cant comment on Dnata, but I know the staff at MEL who work for 'Toll Dnata' get no travel benefits at all. I know this from speaking to a few of these staff, who are under the impression that if Toll was not partnering with them, they would get benefits. So I assume in DXB you would.

Also, with QF its not quite that simple. Yes, there is a 7 year wait for International business class, however it is also twice the economy fare component for the upgradable ticket (refundable if no J class avail on the day). Domestic is a little different, but still requires approx $10 more per segment, but no 7 year wait, but also no refund if there are no J class seats.

I dare say you are right regarding the Toll situation.

Ah so the J tix you get are no better to you than me buying a J ticket straight out like I can do now! I always thought you paid the Y fare component, and just got a goodwill upgrade due to length of service. All isn't as green as it seems
