Default Classifieds: Would you use them here?

If we had a classifieds section for things like:
    - Pass Trades
    - Crash Pads
    - Vacation Rentals
    - Job Leads

Would that be helpful to you? Would you post anything there? Am I missing other potential categories?

I'm a little skeptical, because I think most people trade passes "hand to hand". As for crash pads and vacation rentals, you need to convince people to start posting them here for it to get traction. Not quite sure how to do that.

But, thought I'd poll for thoughts before I dismiss the idea.

The way I see it, what's the worst case scenario? In this case, nobody uses it and there's one more forum to scroll through. That's not such a bad thing.

I would recommend that you stay clear of pass trades, since that often turns into pass sales, which are not supported by most airlines. It might just be an invitation to get some people, who don't know any better (or don't care), into trouble.

I can't say I am interested in pass trades. . however I would be very happy to see:
    1. Vacation rentals
    2. Sale of unused tickets - - -events, attractions, car vouchers etc.. . .
    3. Sale of metro cards i.e. BART, METRA, MTP, etc. . . I know I have a few from a few cities that still have some value on them.

I agree, those sound like good ideas. I'd try to participate in a classifieds board.

Vacation rentals would be of interest to me, and possibly crash pads...Speaking of which, hubby is worried he's getting short call reserve next month...Anybody know of a safe but affordable crash pad in ATL? It will *hopefully* only be for one month, so it needs to be close to hotels so he can hop on the hotel shuttles to get to the airport.
