All UA international Asis/Pac flights packed??

Is this a normal thing all the time, or is it just for this time mof the year? I know that Chinese New Year is approaching, not sure if all this traffic I see is related to that or not. Are the other airlines that fly trans-Pac/Asia that way too? I'm honestly afraid to attempt a Pac flight because I can't buy zed's yet (6 month employment requirement bahh!) as a backup.

I'm sure hoping this changes, else my dream of hopping all over Asia from SFO is going to be SEVERELY curtailed.

Loads are nuts for Chinese NY. Started earlier this week and the only good thing I can say is the 10th should be the best day to fly (their 10th is NY Day) But I don't know about everywhere. DL is full and lists are LONG+HK's all over the place. I've been helping a couple get back from BKK. SFO and LAX are the heaviest for NRT. DTW is next--best is JFK followed by PDX and SEA (ltd sched)
