Default PHX Skytrain opens April 8th. Hope the A/C is Blowing COLD in JULY

Travelers using Terminal 4, which serves 80 percent of Sky Harbor’s passengers, will access the free PHX Sky Train™ from level 3, where the gates and security checkpoints are located. From there, they will enjoy a two-minute ride to East Economy parking. Those wishing to connect to METRO light rail will have only a five-minute ride between Terminal 4 and the 44th St. Station. Trains will arrive and depart every three to four minutes.
The electrically-powered, automated PHX Sky Train™ will operate 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

The PHX Sky Train™ stations will provide many amenities for travelers, including boarding pass kiosks and pet parks. Early Bag Check, available at East Economy parking since December, will also open at the 44th Street Station on April 8. It allows travelers flying Southwest or US Airways to check their bags at the station for no additional cost. For those picking up travelers, the 44th St. Station features a cell-phone waiting lot. METRO light rail customers will have the opportunity to purchase light rail tickets at the 44th St. Station.
By early 2015, the PHX Sky Train™ will extend to Terminal 3 with a walkway to Terminal 2. In its final stage of construction, the PHX Sky Train™ will continue to the Rental Car Center. “

Let me know if it is any different from DFW/IAH/SFO trains..

I can't wait to try it. We've been watching them build the train for a couple of years now and it looks pretty darn convenient. Now if they would just extend the light rail to a location anywhere near my house, I would never drive to the airport again!

I'll definately try it- I helped pay for it- those added rental car charges at Sky Harbor are astronomical. I probably paid for the road too.
