September 11, 2001
I remember I was getting breakfast together and listening to the morning news, there was a breaking news alert that a small plane had hit the World Trade Center.....more news to follow.
I remember a clear blue sky without a plane in the air and candlelight vigils with flight crews in uniforms representing carriers from all over the world.
I remember my friends.
We remember our colleagues, our friends, our aviation family.

My husband knew one of the FA killed that day. I was away from home helping my sister on the east coast and I will always remember turning on the news right after I got the kids off to school and racing to assure everyone that I was okay and on the ground. We will never forget.

Remembering 9/11
9/11/01
“I see water, I see buildings. I see buildings! We are flying low.
We are flying very, very low. We are flying way too low.
Oh my God we are flying way too low.
*very slow, deep breath*
On my God”
