I've been having adventures non-reving for a few months now, but I'm finally making my first little trip report.

I was sitting in class at my college, and really feeling the itch. I hadn't been anywhere in almost a month. I went onto the internet and looked up tickets for my favorite NHL team, the Colorado Avalanche. Once class was over, I went to my dorm and purchased a ticket for monday11/5 vs the Calgary Flames for about 30 bucks, top row of the arena.

I watch loads all week, everything looks great, except getting out of MDT, but it still looks okay. (SUN11/4) seats sell, now 1 seat open, I'm #2 on the NRSA list, crap, but we'll try anyway.

(Mon 11/5) I get out of work at about 2AM. I drive an hour back to my dorm. I get a little sleep, but gotta get up at 7AM. I attend my 8AM and 9AM classes. Today, the afternoon classes shall be blown off(very rarely). I get to MDT at 11AM for the noon flight. I feel the non-rev butterflies. Finally my co-worker calls for me and gives me my boarding pass. I am pax number 50 on our 50 seat CRJ. Phew.

I get to ATL at about 1415, make a greatly timed connection(about 50 minutes), and watch the screen as I see my name enter the cleared list. Aisle seat in Y on a 752. I sit next to a jumpseating captain for Republic Airways. The E-170 is my favorite regional jet, and one of my overall favorite planes. We have a pretty good talk.

I arrive in DEN at like 1645. I take the RTD skyride downtown and get to Pepsi Center at about 1815. I do a teeny bit of shopping in the arena store and watch warmups. The Avs win the game 4-1, great game, really exciting.

I catch the 2218 skyride to DEN and arrive at 2325. I check-in for the 0055 Red-eye to ATL.

I explored A concourse for awhile and then headed to the gate in C. As soon as I got within the gate area I heard my name called. I got my boarding pass, and gave the gate agent my free skilift ticket I got at the game(I'm not going to use it).

About 0030 I boarded. F window in a Song painted 752. F has 2 revenue pax, me, and 3 other nonrevs, and 22 empty seats. I slept through most of the flight and got to ATL about 515. I got a semi-comfy spot, set my cellphone alarm, and took a snooze. I woke up to see a 767 parked at the gate going to SJU. I looked at my phone and noticed I overslept by 23 minutes. The flight should depart in 20 minutes in concourse C, I'm in A.

I hastily made my way to the gate and waited about 5 minutes to hear "all stbys clear." I got an aisle on the CRJ back to MDT. I arrived in MDT 23-1/2 hours after I left. I said hi to some co-workers and went to my car. I got to my noon class at about 1220. Class till 1630, back to work at 1730. Pretty long day, but definitely fun.

I found out Friday that Wed. afternoon classes are cancelled this week. I'm going to visit some buddies in MCO. Hopefully be back on the 1130AM arrival Thurs.

ColoAvs19, you went to class and work after sleeping all night in an airport chair.......impressive. (oh to be young and agile) Glad to see you're enjoying your benefits.
BTW, I saw one of your videos on YouTube --oh yeah, you're famous.

Yea, it was tiring, but I'm young and full of energy.

Those videos I have on Youtube are from when I flew in April, before I got my job.

I want to make more,(I keep track of my flights, I had 7 segments in my life before I started my job, now I'm at about 40, that would be alot more videos) but I don't want to sneak around with a camera while nonreving and possibly get in trouble.
