    Any of y'all from BNA??

I'm hoping to make the CMA Music Festival this year, enroute to the Paris airshow (gonna fly the long way ).

Anyone got any recommendations on hotels or areas to stay in? Do hotels typically get involved in price gouging around this time? Is it hell non-revving into BNA?

I thought of booking a package, but don't want to commit my friends to a hotel just yet - happy to buy tix for the show as can refund them or flog them on ebay... but hotel is a little harder to get rid of, and requires a sizeable down payment now rather than later. Unless I go for a non discounted/staff rate that doesn't charge my card upfront and just uses it as security. But i'd prob have to pay more overall?

    Any info appreciated...

Personally I would recommend the Best Western Music Row on Division or the Comfort Inn on Demonbreun (they are right next to each other). We stayed at the Best Western several years ago before we lived here and walked downtown from it. While it is walkable it is a short hike (through a good part of town too)-maybe a mile? But the hotels right downtown will be ridiculously overpriced for the festival. These might too but probably not as much. Right across the street are several bars/restaurants to eat and drink at. I highly recommend Dan McGuinness bar...their fish and chips is awesome! The tin roof has great quesadillas as well.

Thanks for the info, but I think i've canned this trip.

Ended up coming to the US for a few days now instead. Leaving tomorrow, MSP-MDW-SEA-YVR-HKG-MEL. I'm glad the last sector is in J class

Reactivated this one... wow those hotels were already gouging the price! >$260/night.

Instead I emailed music city hostel, who have private rooms which are still available at $70/night. Whilst fully refundable, catch is I need to pay on card now instead of just securing it.
