Default Vegas Deal - Golden Nugget

I'll keep this on the same note. Planning a Vegas run, was going to go at the end of Feb, however, things came up and the plans came to going at the end of this month instead. We had a hotel in mind from my wife's hotel deals, but listen to this. We went to a restaurant the other day called BABIN'S. It's a fresh seafood cajun kind of joint, owned by this huge tycoon of restaurants owner in the Houston area. He owns places like Joes Crabshack down in the Kemah boardwalk, Landry's, Saltgrass, and just alot more restaurants. He also has his paws on THE GOLDEN NUGGET hotel in Vegas and Atlantic City. If you buy a 25 dollar LANDRY'S SELECT CARD, you get instantly credited 25 dollars for your return visit to any of these reciprocating restaurants listed on the back of your card. It's a rewards program. But this is what I liked. You book a room at the Golden Nugget, and when you check in, you show your card, you automatically get your room upgraded. In that hotel, they have restaurants owned by them that offer the rewards points like the RED SUSHI. So when I go through that experience, will let you all know how that goes. Check this out. www.landrysselect.com

    For first timers-
The Golden Nugget is downtown (Fremont Street) maybe 15 minutes from the Strip.
BTW Palms, The Golden Nugget has an attraction I think you‘re really going to love - a three story waterslide through the middle of a shark tank -they say it’s a very exciting ride - bon appétit.

Golden Nugget is also right downtown on Fremont Street, which is an awesome area as well (I prefer it to the strip). It's one of the cheaper areas of Vegas, and the Fremont Experience (the street with the video screen on top). The Golden Nugget is definitely the best hotel downtown (which I'll admit is usually not such a great area for that, but this is definitely the exception) and really cheap for what you get.
