Default [urgent] Jetblue not endorsing paper tickets?

    Hi guys,

I have a paper ZED ticket originally issued to be used on United, however my flight was full and I'm trying to use that ticket on JetBlue, which is in our agreement. However, the counter agent said I could not use it since it is issued for UA and he cannot endorse it (I listed on myidtravel). He keeps saying I need to buy another ticket at myidtravel, however we still dont use electronic zed tickets yet (all I could do is list). I was in the understanding that paper ZED tickets were endorsable on other carriers as long as they were in the agreement and it was the same zone. Is this correct?

I would appreciate any help as we are currently stranded on SFO airport in the middle of our honeymoon trying to get out of here.

    Thanks

Ok, hopefully this makes it to you quickly enough. What agreement do you have with B6 and UA? If you're trying to use a ZED-low ticket and you have a ZED-medium agreement with UA, you're out of luck. If you're using an equal or better ticket, you should be ok. You just won't get the difference back if you use a better ticket than you need.

Now, the more important part is to talk the gate agent into allowing this. Check your paper ticket. Does it say "VALID ALL ZED CARRIERS" anywhere on the ticket? That should help. We still take paper tickets, just not for all airlines. If worse comes to worst, which airline do you work for? I remember looking at the page for one airline, and it mentioned that it was ok to take those tickets as long as it's equal or better level. Tell them to look through GG PASS OA, with OA being your airline (LH, AA, what have you). There should be a mention of it somewhere. They should know what that means, GG is the helpfile in our reservations system and is pretty well-known by any gate agent.

Of course, don't drain the time of the gate agents, either.

Edit: Also, I removed your other post. Hopefully this takes care of you. We really want to avoid duplicate threads whereever possible.

Once you made the listing on myidtravel, they should accept your zed as long as it meets the requirements that spongeblue mentioned. Try a different agent if possible if the first one can't help. Good luck!

Thank you guys for the help. I eventually managed to convince the agent on the VLD ZED CARRIERS endorsement line. Mine was actually a ZM and my agreement for B6 was for ZL, so I was fine. Still waiting on the B6 flight to close though.

Sorry for the double posting SB, somehow when I was not logged on, my post wouldnt show up among the other posts.

    Thanks once again.

Sounds good - in the urgency I thought that you were trying to go from B6 to UA, so if you had a UA ZED to be issued on B6 I don't know that that would really help much (other than the Valid ZED carriers line)

And don't worry about the double post. It happens, and there are greater sins in the world
