The whole TSA thing is fascinating to me. The line in LAX was insanely long on Wednesday night and people definitely missed flights but they were not directing folks to the Precheck line to help.

On my big trip (report to come after I stop working and catch up on sleep), I somehow managed to get "randomly" chosen to have my bags gone through and my hands, feet and bags checked for explosives at the check point THREE times out of the five times I actually went through security! Just me, mind you, not my family members. Now I know none of you know me but I can promise that I do not look scary after I've showered and put on make-up .

I finally turned to my family and asked what it was about me that makes me get chosen over them. My son says it is because I look approachable and like I won't yell at them.

We both got the gate inspection--all bags, hands, another pat down and body swipe. This was nonrev AMS/JFK last week. I was also patted up/down very aggressively--quite invasive--in public security. So much so that it should have been done behind a screen. I was very uncomfortable and quite shocked at how much she was touching me and how roughly.

I think once your ticket gets picked for random ‘detailedinspection’ it sticks with you the whole trip. I got flagged in BKK and had checked bags removed and brought forinspection. I then was inspected again inNRT and then in LAX, all because of a mark on my boarding pass.

Ah, the dreaded version here is SSSS
My sister used to get it quite a bit--she was doomed for extra attention.

Maybe that is what it was. Better than thinking it was just me!
