Thousands of airport workers from JFK, LGA and EWR are expected continue their strike into Thursday.
The workers, mostly cabin and airport cleaners, are subcontracted by outside companies to work with various airlines, including JetBlue, Delta and United.
They will be striking for new contracts, which include medical benefits and higher wages of $15 an hour.
They started last night and they say they will fight for better wages. This could create a nightmare commute before your Thanksgiving holiday.
Travelers at seven of the country's busiest airports, ORD, BOS, JFK and EWR will experience delays as thousands of airport workers starting striking last night.
They are protesting poor working conditions and threats related to their efforts to unionize. On the picket lines – 2,000 plane cleaners, baggage handlers and other workers striking in FLL, PHL, BOS and ORD, LGA, JFK and EWR.
