Interesting discussion on our facebook fan page:

nonrev.net Curious how crewmembers are viewing the "on board WiFi" systems, like Gogo Internet or Row44. Do the pax seem to like it? Any issues for crew members?

Erin Dubuclet passengers like it, but they would like it even more, of course, if they didnt have to PAY for it, so less people use it. because most passengers think that they shouldnt have to pay for anything, of course.

Mendy Field Just tried it in row 5 from HNL said no service aval

Tom Chavez III Sinai Peninsula?

nonrev.net Erin: Yeah. Funny how they'll pay $12 for WiFi in a hotel, but surfing the internet while 5+ miles in the sky, going 500+mph, seems like it should be "Free"

Beverly Grant Kozdras It doesn't seem like as many people are using it as I thought....kinda expensive.

Erin Dubuclet ‎@Mendy, for some reason, the wi-fi doesnt extend quite that far yet. the service is unavailable in some parts of the Caribbean as well. Once you hit the mainland it seems to be fine. *shrug*

@nonrev LOL!!! exactly!!

@Beverly, welll even ...

Diane Quinn I've tried it many times and it worked great. GoGo Inflight gives crew members a 50 percent discount which is nice. There's really no down side for crew members as long as it works. We just have to educate passengers on how to read and follow instructions. As far as not working from HNL - it does not work over the "pond", only over land.

Patrick Lane Amazing also how everyone surfs the net to save $4 for flight somewhere... and then come to the airport and buy a $7 Starbucks Latte and the wifi onboard. I had a flight I was "staff traveling" on (as we say overseas here) which had the internet but the flight was too short to get my money's worth. However, had it been longer, I would have payed for it!

Lynn Bible I use it all the time and love it.

Cindy Schulberg Expensive and spotty coverage or no coverage in some area (GogoWifi) . Thought Row44 was in bankruptcy or out of business?

nonrev.net No, Row44 is alive and well: Southwest Airlines: Fleetwide Wi-Fi won't come until 2013 | Tnooz

Jeff Daugherty I know you can go to delta.com with it. I wish they would allow deltanet access for employees for free also!! (hint hint)

Thom Meaders Gogo is great and really hear no complaints and a lot of people using it at least in F/C. Yea they give us 50% off but only the daily...wish they'd give crewmembers 50% off a monthly thing...would come out less in the long run but nice to have anything!

Steve Palyok Us airways just got it on all the A321 aircraft. It's like 12 dollars per flight. Honesty, that's worth it! Flying in a plane, on the Internet. Makes flying so much easier! If you can afford a $800 plane ticket and a $7 starbucks... You can afford $12 wifi.

Sonya Reilly-Doswell Can we Skype on go go w Delta ??

Ray Ward Row 44 should work just about anywhere, since it's satellite based. I've used it on one of our test A/C and wow - it's fast. Gogo is ok I guess, slow though.

Andreas Mowinckel Sonya - I tried with my iPhone and it worked. The sound quality was horrible, but I was able to tell my family I was on my way home.

Brigitte Lakah Should be free

Debbie Zacharko Boltwood First class thinks it should be free for them

Jennifer 'Tomlinson' Lockwood I've used it on Alaska Airlines a few times...love that it is free at this time. Good service once we hit the Lower 48.

Kelly Westphal We at Virgin America have it, and the passengers use it all the time. I very rarely hear about problems, seems very reliable and the speed is pretty quick. Gogo must be doing something right.

Betty Rangel I think crew member's should not have to pay. At AA we get a percentage off but not 50%. That's sweet!!! As for passengers they love it and don't have a problem paying for GOGO Inflight!!!

Nancee Wright How much is it???

Evan Jacob ‎@Sonya Skype is blocked on Gogo for any carrier that uses it to my knowledge, but definitely blocked on Delta. Sorry, PS as F/C I love it.

Jason Leonard Pax love it, crew members love it also (when in the back!!!). A lot of people say it's pretty pricey though.

Jason Leonard ‎$30/mo

Carlos Ferrer It would be nice that airlines offer it for free to passengers when things go wrong, great way to say "we apoligize"

Maureen Adamek I agree with Carlos.

Monica Prieto you're totally right....!!!!!!

Thresia Raynor We use Gogo on Alaska air, the only bummer was when we had a flight direct from Chicago to ANC and this passenger was angry over something way beyond our control and logged into our company website and wrote a complaint while we were still in the air!!! Our entire crew got a call over it

Kim Zuccarini If you're flying a ton with one carrier, it may be worth it to buy one carriers discounted 30 day at $30...otherwise it was $9.99 for the trip. Check out the specials before you sign on. I loved having it. I was using GoGo

Carla Coco Humm...I didn't even know such a thing had become available. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Glenn Brown They are using it. They don't usually say if they like it or not, but they certainly let us know when it's not available and are very unhappy when they can't get access.

Shaun Galbraith I absolutely love it. I can't even begin to explain how much business I've been able to accomplish on long commutes or vacations. I think GoGo should come up with an annual pass for crew members that works on ALL GoGo flights (not just on...

Melanie Berlin Lefebvre are the discounted rates for crew available for single flights or do you have to subscribe to the service for 30 days to get the discount ? has it started on flights across the pond ?

Stephanie Hall Does US Airways WiFi jets have an outlet to plug in your laptop ?

Rick Odato I found that it works very well. The signal is stong and consistent.
The passengers don't like the cost. Perhaps they could establish a monthly subscription, etc. that would make it more palatable.

Ziggy Bergman I was on AA MIA to LAX and they said they had gogo but I had trouble accessing the internet. I thought it was just me but I overheard others complaining.

Nicholas E Doyle III Apparenly AA tracks crew using the system and considers it Restiction Of Output!
