Default Pali lookout battle in Hawaii

WOW. Had a friend in Hawaii take me to this battle sight where 400 Oahu warriors either leaped or were forced off this cliff. I saw this on youtube, same exact spot I went to. Windy as hell, very nice cool weather in Hawaii. The locals were complaining it was too cold. This battle called when "The fished leaped". Refers to the warriors going over the cliff over the force of spears. King Kamehameha ruled all the islands later after this battle victory. This blew my mind. I took my friend to see where Santa Anna got beat in battle of San Jacinto some years back, and he took me where 400 Oahu warriors were forced off a cliff. Very brutal indeed. I think he outbested me here.

Im in Philippines. The milk run. Went via IAH-HNL-GUM-MNL. Took a night layover in HNL. Broke trip in half. Still rough. Got first from HNL-GUM. Very nice lady flight attendant. Got me wasted on the red wine.I had to finally put my hand over the glass......I quit. In MNL now in a very cool place indeed. Will keep my local exactly to myself for security purposes. wxr sux. hotter than haedes in noon. Much more pleasant in Hawaii weather wise.

Here is a great photo depicting battle with Oahu forces in 1795 going over cliff at Nuuanu Pali.

If they had MP-3 playing this tune as they were going over, the whole downward experience wouldn't have been so horrific. What do you think? king of hollywood the eagles - YouTube

I thought Suicide Cliff on Saipan was pretty "Hairy" to look at. You can actually see old WWII footage of a Japanese lady jumping off the cliff with her baby, but I can't imagine lots of warriors forced over a cliff by the hundreds. It must have been a humiliating loss and very sad day for many families in Oahu in 1795. Totally mind boggling. I've seen some interesting places and continue to be surprised everytime I go somewhere, even if its the same place where there was something I missed. Interesting how such beautiful sights to see can actually be the sights of such tragic events such as suicide cliff on Saipan and on Nuuani Pali, Hawaii where many were forced over the cliff to their deaths. On Saipan, Okinawa and other places, Japanese committed suicide than to be captured by Marines whom were believed to be mother killers and baby eaters. Even civilians committed suicide after being brainwashed by the Japanese against Americans.
