Lightbulb And Don’t Forget to tip your Flight Attendant

Frontier is encouraging their pax to tip their FAs. Since 2016 F9 has "encouraged" tipping when it added a gratuity screen on its credit card payment tablets (tips were pooled). As of Jan. 1, F9s FAs can keep their own tips.

I'm fine with bringing gifts for the crew (i.e. a box of chocolate - See's gate 42 T4 @LAX) but tipping for buy on board crosses the line. Figures it starts with an ULCC like Frontier. They need to step up and pay a fair salary. Just hope the Spirit and Ryanairs of the world don't decide to copy.

Tipping a FA? Apparently Frontier doesn't realize that they are not here to serve food but for safety. You don't tip police, fire fighters who bring children teddy bears, etc. so why would you tip a flight attendant for whom the bringing of food is only a small part of their job? Smh. Pay your employees, Frontier!
