    Cool Pandemic Lessons

Things I learned during the COVID-19 Pandemic

There's a proper way to wash your hands and that the chorus to Prince's Raspberry Beret is exactly 20 seconds long - "she wore a raspberry beret...."

After witnessing people fighting over toilet paper on aisle 7, I learned that all those post-apocalyptic movies showing people fighting over food, water and shelter got it wrong. Toilet paper, paper towels and Clorox wipes are the currency of the future.

In a pinch you can use a food thermometer to take your temperature - just remember to be careful not to stick it in your arm.

I learned that nobody knows the wattage of their microwave....nobody!

That making a no-sew face mask with items around your house isn't as easy as you might think.

That people that deal with the "public" deserve a lot more money. (yeah Donna )

And lastly, I learned that even in quarantine, stuck in my house.....I can still manage to lose my phone.

    So what have you learned???????

I learned that no matter how much you love your family, separate vacations are a great idea. I also never realized how many times a year I go somewhere until I couldn't. I realized how much I miss the beach.

I have learned that we must enjoy life as much as we can because anything can change anytime in an unexpected way. I realized how lucky I am to be where I am and not in France where normal life is even more disrupted and how much I miss airplanes, the atmosphere of the airports, above all flying.. (Of course, more important friends and family but it is obvious). I sincerely hope everybody in this wonderful forum and their loved ones are good.

I've leaned that it is my responsibility to stay healthy and clean. I cannot blame anyone else. B12 and the Sun are my friends.

Oh, you have no idea. People lose all sense of what is appropriate when they are on the other end of a phone. I have gotten some interesting mugs for my regular work day that say things my son calls "aggressive" so I smile when I look at them.
