Default Alaska is one of those "other airlines?"

Apparently Alaska is one of those "other airlines"

Any good rumors I should know about? I'm sadly out of the loop when it comes to rumors . . . . .

Tell you what...come up with a good rumor, news item, whatever about Alaska, and I'll create a specific forum for Alaska instead of "Other Airlines".

Happy to create an Air Canada forum, if you can get a few of your peers to chime in and promise to post there...

Ack! Don't say that! The last time AS even considered changing the Eskimo tail to something else, the citizens of Alaska were up in arms. A few years back there was some talk of a resolution in the Alaska congress stating that AS could not change the tail . . . It seems that everyone in Alaska "knows" who that face was copied from (despite the fact that is a composite) and would be highly offended if their friend/relative/neighbor was removed from the tail.

As for our own forum, we are a small airline and we like it that way so I'm fine with being one of the "other" airlines.

Is Chester really the name of the Eskimo or am I making things up?

I can't recall ever hearing a name. I suppose it could be Chester. Why not?

Update - Alaska now has it's own hangar in the 'All Airlines' forum.
