Wow. Any idea what the advance purchase requirement is on that price? Why non rev when you can get positive space for that price?

Keep an eye on Spirit and Frontier. Their positive space tickets are worth buying sometimes. Especially on routes like a DEN - SAN or PHX- DEN, etc..

Last thing I want to do is pay for a cramped seat that does not recline, no entertainment, stuff any small item underseat in front, (ALL baggage is fee-assessed). I won't pay $3 for mini water or a snack for 3 hr flt. Possibility of no back-up aircraft/crew and no interline options--then, poof, ticket is useless. Nor do I wish to be herded like cattle by surly cabin cowboys. The horror stories of Spirit service and comfort/cleanliness are infamous! Check tripadvisor air travel forums.

While I agree with a lot of that, if given a choice between hanging around for 24 hours or more to non rev on a more comfortable plane or paying a cheap price to go confirmed on Spirit, I'll take the positive space providing the flight isn't too long.

Have you seen the baggage fees? Unless you buy in advance, your bags can cost more that a tickets.
