Default AA Retiree - Spouse / Companion Question

A good friend who is an elderly AA retiree has a spouse who is ill and will never use pass travel. Does anyone know if, like Delta, the retiree is able to nominate a registered companion instead of the spouse for pass travel?

If so, how does the retiree go about making the change - contact info etc?

Delta allows a registered companion to be changed once in 12 months and of course you can only have one registered companion / spouse at a time - does the same apply at AA?

    Thanks.

Welcome aboard sprucepilot there’s a seat for you on the aisle. Have your friend print out the AA Travel Guide it will answer your questions. BTW I moved your post to the All Airlines (America Airlines) Forum and removed your duplicate post.
