I'm trying to plan a honeymoon for late october/early november or possibly early next year. I've been looking through all of the different hotels available in/around tahiti and its surrounding islands, but I'm having a very hard time trying to find some interline deals...package or otherwise. If anyone has a starting point for me, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks...

    Jason,
I remember getting an email from Dargal.com recently that mentioned Club Med deals in Polynesia so you could try there. Otherwise I'd suggest checking out the French hotel chains ( as Polynesia is French owned ). The Accor chain has a few places in Polynesia I believe ( they also own the Red Roof and Motel 6 chains over your side of the pond ) and they definitely have offerred deals through UK interline agencies before ( unfortunately the agency I remember doing the deals is now defunct ).

Spent almost two weeks in Moorea. Lovely place! Grabbed my heart over Hawaii, however...more expensive. Spent one night in Tahiti - black sand beaches. Planning for Bora Bora in a couple months - white sand beaches. Recommend calling Islands in the Sun. They helped me. Planning to non-rev on Air Tahiti Nui. Flew Air France before, however, we did not non-rev at that time. I hear the club meds are nice (all inclusive). Will look up more info. for you if interested on the Moorea stay. Haven't been to Bora Bora as yet. Hope this will help.

I did a lot of research on this last spring. We emailed about every hotel/resort on the islands to see about interline rates. They were pretty scarce. I do not know if this will help any, but here is what we did:

My husband and I NR on Air France last May from LAX - PPT. We then bought an inter-island air pass for the Tahiti - Moorea - Bora Bora - Tahiti flights. (There was no discount on those flights for us (DL emp), but it may depend on the airline you work for)

On Moorea, we ended up using Starwood Points to stay at the Sheraton Moorea at 50% off. Still $$$, but it really WAS worth it to stay out over the water in one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. I think they DID offer 35% off for airline employees. Email the hotel directly.

On Bora Bora, they were still building the Sheraton, so we could not stay there. The Maitai gave us a 50% off rate on their Over Water Bungalows, which would have been a great deal except when we arrived, the manager told us that they gave our bungalow away! He said he emailed me 3 days prior and when I did not reply he canceled our room. It just so happens that we had already left the States and were in Moorea at that time....
He put us in a room right next to the street... LOTS of road noise!! Very poor customer service.

The OWB would have been a good value for 50% off, however, it is not nearly as nice as the Sheraton or Intercontinental Bora Bora.

You may want to call the Sofitel to see if they will offer you an interline rate. They have 4 resorts on 3 islands. We went to the Sofitels for Happy Hour each night, they all have them.

Also Le Meridien Bora Bora looked nice from the water, but we did not see inside.

We spend our last night on Tahiti at the Sheraton, I think it was 40%-50% off interline rate.

Over all, not an inexpensive vacation, but we still did it cheaper than most packages we found.

    Hope this helps a bit.
