Default Continental air lines will fly to aukland nz

Latest Continental route will get you to New Zealand | Business | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

Maybe I should have put it under UAL since if the merger goes through, it will fly that route to New Zealand under that name.

That's cool and all, but to tell the truth it seems like more of a publicity thing than anything else. Even for an international route, who announces service somewhere more than a year in advance? I don't think any ticket sellers even allow you to buy tix until a year ahead of time max, or at least close to it.

Also, I'm sure I'm not seeing the big picture (other attributes like possible range, expected passenger capacity, and efficiency are probably at play here) but to me, the 787 seems to be a 767 with more features added and a slightly different fuselage. See File:787sizecomp.svg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to get what I'm saying. I dunno, I feel like a route like that should get a 777 under CO's fleet. Palms, I think you might have an extra thing or two you could add to that?

Yeah it seems very early... AKL seems such an odd choice to me. I guess they don't have the range for SYD etc.

787 is prob a good acft though, suits thinner routes than the 777

I really don't know much about the 787, though I hear they are loaded with avionics. I'm sure its supposed to be more fuel efficient. Other than that, NO CLUE to be honest with you.
