It is 4834 miles at a ZED Medium- doesn't include tax or fees. I hear the deparure tax out of LHR is a few hundred US dollars. ZED / $82 one way Economy / $195 one way Business

Taxes alone for that route = $138.50, which inlcudes the UK departure taxes of $105.

Be aware that the UK Government has generously decided to increase the APD ( government enforced departure tax ) by up to 50% as of 1st Nov.

The latest I heard was that when they came to power the coalition government deferred any further discussions on this until the autumn ( as to when the government define autumn as being is anyones guess !! ).
Once can only hope that it gets integrated into commercial fares and not non-rev fares .... we can always dream.

Wow. That sucks. Only good thing is there are Fewer and Fewer Non-Revs competing for seats out of lhr. I heard FRA may be looking into APD also ;(
