We need dates and what airline(s) you have buddy pass access to. I believe you fly Delta. From what I can find its a confusing routing as Delta's emp. site does not give CZM-MNL options so you have to do CZM-ATL (one way) then ATL-MNL (round trip) then ATL-CZM (one way). I can not come up with anything under $1000.

You can buy a ticket ATL-MNL for $1300. But a quick look on Kayak has flights from CZM-ATL are VERY expensive in mid january (nothing under $600).

Most of us know you are well versed in the pro's/con's of buddy pass travel and know issues that could come up.

The online travel sites make it hard to make a flight plan that has a multi day layover (that you need in ATL). If you can find a round trip from CZM-MNL that goes through ATL for a good price you can then call the airline to see if they can make the layover in ATL for a couple of days.

You can buy tickets from LAX-MNL for around $800 but you would still need to make it to LAX and you might have baggage fees with buying a ticket.

offroader, keep in mind that we are in a Delta forum, so it probably is for Delta

That said, I usually click the "new posts" button which lumps all posts together, so if you're doing the same thing it would be easy to forget about that!

Yep, forgot about looking at where the post was located. But, I was pretty sure they flew Delta from previous postings.
    Same thing-look at "new posts".

Yes I fly Delta..lol for now. It is a confusing situation. My daughters BF flys private charters and the company atone time came under Delta umbrella. They were sold and the crew kept their flight bennies under the deal...ten something to do with the union and disagreements and presently only the employee can fly..np BP, at least until it is settled. His contract ends in 10 months and he plans to go back to mainline company..hoping for Delta or AA.

soooooooooo...........now he gets us BP from his friends, so I will not even know DOE etc until thetime comes.

Yes I am petty well vesed on being prepared..luckily I am not tied to any dates and if I have to stand by a few days etc..no big deal..part of the adventure. I rather BP then pay a few 100 more for coach. I have never goten anything except BC or FC on a long haul..and this old mobility lmited lady loves those BIG seats for a long sleep, not to mention how great the crew treats me.

Now her BF said the BP can be booked CZM or CUN to wereever to MNL, returning MNL to ATL (probably thru DTW to ATL) layover 2 days and then CZM or CUN, will be seeing hm soon, he hops here evry 2 weeks, so will discuss it further. Idid see that Delta no longer does NGO*MNL. ATLto NRT ucks because of cargo loads...last time it left with 22 empty seats and I headed for DTW and then NGO MNL

The BP cannot count as 1 on that routing. So you will likely need more. After its all said and done, Pay the BP to LAX, then buy Positive Space from there. $1300 is about the rate in January utilizing Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, American, and others..

It would depend on the rules of the airline the BP is flying on, ScubaBride2's BP allows one stopover (layover longer than 4 hours for domestic USA) in each direction . Just do one way CZM-ATL, then add flights of round trip ATL-MNL, then add one way ATL-CZM. On the R/T ATL-MNL you can have the days had 2 day layover going to or coming from MNL.

    Default Huh

Offroader, can you re explain that to me please? I need a 2 day layover in ATL on the return. I know I probably can not get on the ATL-NRT flight because of the load op or whatever they call it, and now Delta no longer does NGO-MNL. So...guide me here...what would be the best routing to book. As I said, I can handle being stranded a day or so,no big deal. GRACIAS Hey if any of you ever head here to Cozumel, give me a shout.

cutting corners via HNL costed me a lot for stuck in the island... on the other hand, instead of complainig, made it a meaningful stay and enjoyed it and then out the island via cheap positive space. that was last year tho.

So if you are lucky ones with the benefit, please have the backup plans. mrs767er advised me to do so many times and it works!
