Thread: viewing posts of last 24/36/48 hours

    Default viewing posts of last 24/36/48 hours

    Normally when I log onto the site I select the forum tab then new posts. If there are no new posts there is a button to view posts from last 24 hours.
    But, sometimes I might not have logged into the site for a few days, review new posts and start to reply to a post. I might be doing research for the reply and when I press the submit post I have timed out. When I go back to new posts there are none and pressing the posts from last 24 hours the post I was replying to as not there.

    I know I could search through the forums trying to find the post but would it be possible to add review posts from last 24, 36, 48 hours?

    Also, I know I can stay logged in (remember my password) and I do that at my home computer but my laptop and work computer I log in each time.

    Sometimes when I type I noticed I too time out and have to copy my text to paste after refreshing. Kind of a bit annoying.

    1. Extend the time when posting/reply.
    2. Expand review posts from 24 to 36/48 hours

    Has this been looked into? Once again I checked 'new' posts and had a page full due to not checking for 3 or 4 days. started to reply to one of them and timed out. Log back in and post no longer shows as it was not 'in last 24 hours'

    The dreaded “session timeout”, have had the problem myself. It’s definitely a time waster. Will see what I can do.

    Ok, our webmaster has been busy flipping switches, pulling levers and turning dials on the control panel.
    The “Session Timeout” has been extended to two hours and “New Posts -Thread Update” has been extended from 24 hours to…......A LOT.
