Service animals for non rev
So I'm taking a good friendon a trip to MEM next month, and he has a service dog for a non visible disability. We have the paperwork, I'll drop in an SSR when we list, but my big question is should we bring a blanket or something for him to lay on (the dog! not the RTC!) for the flight and the car rental - CAN we get a rental car with a service animal?

ahhh....MEM...my old stomping grounds...I wish I was there now for the BBQ cookoff on the river...so many memories lost there because of the liquour...hahahaha...
anyways, yes, bring a blanket - service animals are still animals and while they are trained to behave, a blanket that smells like home would be a comfort to the puppy....and rental car companies are required by ADA laws to allow service animals...not sure what documentation that they may require, but they cant prevent you from renting...
They shouldn't stop you from hiring a car.
I recall reading many articles a few months ago about tiger airways in australia where the staff refused to allow pax with guide dogs on the plane. This still blows my mind today... I have seen the types they hire, young, not necessarily so with it, but were you not taught as a kid what guide dogs are and that they are allowed anywhere under law?? Blows my mind the ignorance of some
